Key Functions

SMD 4.0

Dahua Smart Motion Detection (SMD) 4.0 technology uses intelligent algorithms to classify objects that trigger motion detection alerts. This technology effectively filters out non-target objects, such as small and large animals, significantly reducing false alarms. When used with an AI NVR, the Quick Pick feature allows for rapid searching and retrieval of video footage featuring human and vehicle targets, prioritising the most relevant matches.

Smart Dual Light

Dahua Smart Dual Light technology employs intelligent algorithms to detect targets. Typically, the IR illuminator is active at night. However, when a target enters the monitoring area, the white light turns on, enabling the camera to record full-color video and capture detailed information about key events. This process links snapshots and video with full-color imaging. Once the target leaves the monitoring area, the white light turns off, and the IR illuminator reactivates, effectively minimizing light pollution.

Dahua's smart encoding technology, leveraging an advanced scene-adaptive rate control algorithm, achieves higher encoding efficiency than standard H.265 and H.264. This technology delivers high-quality video while reducing storage and transmission costs.
