Setting up a security system from scratch can feel overwhelming - choosing compatible cameras, finding the right recorder, and making sure everything works together. Dahua security kits take the guesswork out of it by bundling a pre-matched NVR with a set of cameras, so you get a complete, ready-to-install system in one package.

All kits include a Dahua NVR and a matched set of Dahua IP cameras. Cameras and recorders are tested to work together out of the box, with full support for Dahua's AI features including human and vehicle detection, perimeter protection, and smart playback.

TiOC kits - TiOC (Three-in-One Camera) combines active deterrence, full-colour night vision, and AI detection in a single camera. When motion is detected, the camera triggers a red and blue strobe light and an audible siren to warn off intruders before they act. Ideal for homes and businesses where deterrence is as important as recording.

WizSense kits - WizSense cameras use AI to distinguish between humans and vehicles, filtering out false alerts from animals, wind, and passing headlights. A practical choice for properties that need reliable detection without constant nuisance alerts.

Standard IP kits - Entry-level kits with solid image quality and night vision. A cost-effective starting point for homes and small businesses that need reliable coverage without advanced AI features.

What is included in a Dahua kit?

Each kit includes a Dahua NVR (Network Video Recorder) and a matched set of IP cameras. Most kits are sold without a hard drive (no HDD) unless stated otherwise, so you can choose the storage capacity that suits your retention needs. We also stock pre-built kits with HDDs installed if you prefer a ready-to-go setup.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add more cameras to a kit later? Yes - as long as your NVR has spare channels, you can add compatible Dahua IP cameras at any time. Most kits use NVRs with more channels than cameras included, giving you room to expand.

Do the cameras need to be near the NVR? No - Dahua IP cameras connect over your network via PoE (Power over Ethernet). The NVR can be located anywhere on the same network, and cameras can be placed up to 100 metres from a PoE switch or the NVR's built-in PoE ports.

Do I need a monitor? The NVR connects to any HDMI monitor or TV for local viewing. You can also view live footage and recordings remotely via the DMSS app on your phone or tablet.

What hard drive do I need? Dahua NVRs are compatible with most 3.5" surveillance-grade HDDs. We recommend Western Digital Purple or Seagate SkyHawk drives rated for 24/7 operation. As a guide, 2TB stores approximately 14-20 days of continuous footage from a 4-camera 4MP system.
