HiLook Pro Series - Starlight cameras in 6MP and 8MP
Struggling to get clear footage in low-light conditions? The HiLook Pro Series Starlight range is built specifically for environments where lighting is poor, inconsistent, or completely absent - delivering colour detail that standard cameras simply can't match after dark.
Available in 6MP and 8MP (4K) resolution, these cameras use Starlight sensor technology to capture usable colour images at extremely low light levels, without relying solely on infrared.
What makes Starlight different?
Standard cameras switch to black-and-white IR mode when light drops. Starlight cameras use a highly sensitive image sensor that retains colour information in near-darkness - making it far easier to identify clothing colours, vehicle colours, and other critical details in low-light footage.
Key features
- Starlight low-light colour imaging technology
- 6MP and 8MP (4K) resolution options
- Smart Hybrid Light - colour night vision with IR backup
- AcuSense AI detection - human and vehicle classification
- Built-in microphone for audio recording
- PoE powered - single cable for power and data
- IP67 weatherproof rated for outdoor use
- Available in white and black finishes
Where do Starlight cameras perform best?
These cameras are ideal for dimly lit carparks, side alleys, building perimeters, and any outdoor area without strong artificial lighting. They're also well suited to indoor environments like warehouses or storage areas where lighting is minimal overnight.
Frequently asked questions
Do Starlight cameras still work in complete darkness?
Starlight technology excels in very low light but still requires some ambient light source. In complete darkness, the camera will switch to IR mode. For full-colour imaging in zero-light conditions, consider the Hi-Color range instead.
What is the difference between 6MP and 8MP?
8MP (4K) delivers finer detail and is better for identifying faces or licence plates at distance. 6MP is a cost-effective option that still provides clear, reliable footage for most applications.
Are these compatible with my existing NVR?
Yes - all HiLook Pro Series cameras are fully compatible with HiLook and Hikvision NVRs supporting H.265+ compression via PoE.
